The SPLA Director for HIV/AIDS is calling on the general public to accept existence of HIV virus in South Sudan.
According to the report, the total number of the people living with HIV/AIDS in the countrty is estimated at 200 thousand, Radio Good News reports
The report adds that there is new infection of 13,540 every year.
Colonel Yohana Mabor Deng says out of the infected number, 34.6 percent is soldiers including SPLA and other organized forces.
Colonel Yohanna Mabor blames infection on ignorance of HIV control, alcohol abuse and un-circumcision.
Colonel Mabor urges all organized forces and the general public to go for voluntary test and counseling of HIV virus to prevent further spreading.
State Acting Director for HIV/ AIDS Commission Peter Gum Ater observes that young people are influenced by the use of phonographic films on social media that make them practice sex.
He urges people to go for free drugs and test in the hospitals.
