Western Lakes State government assured citizens and Christians a safe and a peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Minister for Information, Shadrack Bol Machok, told journalists that the government has done sufficient security for the celebrations, Radio Good News reports.
Bol says night clubs and random shooting of guns should be avoided during the celebration.
Anyone who will be caught doing it will face consequences from the town patrol forces and security agents, he warns.
The minister advises those who are going to pray during the night to remain in their respective churches until morning.
He urges the public to avoid unnecessary movements from 6:00 PM till morning.
