The listener of Radio Don Bosco 91.0 FM in Tonj State urges the public to maintain their cultural activities such as production of local tobacco.
 
Malith Madit says idleness is unfair way of living and development of the nation, Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
He says he decided to plant tobacco to benefit him rather than staying idle.
 
Madit discourages youth from playing dominos and other games as they cannot benefit South Sudan.
 
He advises people to cooperate with tobacco traders for smooth running of the business.
 
Madit appeals to the public to avoid sitting idle and work to earn their living for the families.
 
Machar Chitjang Maciek, a tobacco seller, observes tobacco prices are rising higher especially in Aweil.
 
Another seller, Manyang Malual, blames high taxation and transport fares in increasing prices.
