To transform South Sudan properly, remains in the hands of teachers through education, says Education Secretary in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio.

Fr Bagare Mathew Tanga believes teachers are the only people to transform this country, Radio Anisa reports.

He was addressing teachers, learners and parents of Bishop Abangite College of Science and Technology and St Mary Primary School.

South Sudan will not get out of the current situation if teachers do not put much effort in educating people, says Fr Mathew.

The Acting Head teacher of St Mary Primary School urges parents to advise their children to be respectful and disciplined enough.

He observes some parents act badly against teachers who are dedicating their lives to teach children in South Sudan amidst numerous challenges.

The speakers made the remarks during the end of year results of Primary, Secondary School and Accelerate Learning Program at St Mary Yambio Parish.
