The Project Coordinator SAFERWORLD in Torit is telling parents to guide their girls towards education instead of early marriage.

Radio Emmanuel quoted Joseph Maring advising parents that sending girls to school will benefit family members more than boys.

Maring says girls and parents should avoid looking at people who want to give money while forgetting the burden they will face after marriage at early stage.

The coordinator warns parent against using bad languages to their daughters which he believes sometimes contribute to early marriage.

He says education is the only way to eradicate poverty in the society.

Joseph Marring was talking to residents of Iluhum in Torit town during the discussion on girl child early marriage last week.
