Loreto Girls’ Secondary School in Rumbek on Friday graduated its seventh batch of thirty-four Senior Four students in Arts and Science sections in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
The graduation was done before South Sudan Secondary School Exams which will take place earlier next year.
One of the graduates Margaret Athiei Mabor says graduation is a motivation for students leaving their high school and those still behind to aspire.
Margaret Athiei appeals to parents to give their daughters a chance to study before marrying them off earlier.
She says education is the only way South Sudan will develop.
Among sixty-two students that enrolled in Senior in 2014, only 34 of them graduated on Friday and 28 dropped out.
State Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Mathiang Deng Monydit says the dropped out number attracted the attention of state government to see what can be done to stop it.
Loreto Girls’ Secondary School in Rumbek was established by Congregation of Loreto Sisters in 2008.
