Viable Support to Transition and Stability or VISTAZ on Thursday in Rumbek handed over the newly constructed traditional court to the government of Western Lakes.

According to Radio Good News, the construction of the court began in April this year with funding from USAID.

VISTAZ Deputy Chief of Party, Chris Wolman, says the new court will be helpful to the traditional authorities.

Western Lakes State Deputy Speaker Chol Kuotwel Manhom believes the court will offer better legal services to the civil population of Western Lakes.

He appreciates VISTAS for constructing the court and expresses government’s honor to receive the building.

The handing over ceremony was attended by UN Agencies, Civil Society Organization and Government officials.
