Ministers’ body guard in custody for shooting SPLA soldier

Police authorities in Torit Municipality are investigating a body guard of the State Minister of Rural Development, for shooting an SPLA soldier on Monday evening.
 
Major Jeremiah Faridiri Otoriang, Police Chief Inspector says three SPLA soldiers threatened to cause havoc to body guards of Ministers of Health and Rural Development leading to shootings, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He claims that the soldiers were under the influence of alcohol.
 
Major Faridiri says the body guard is in the police custody for safety awaiting trial.
 
He calls on the public to remain calm because the insecurity in Torit town is something to do with personal cases.
 
The Inspector urges citizens to take control of armed men who are drunk in residential areas to avoid unnecessary shootings.
