UNMISS appeals to government to improve security in Wau

United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS appeals to Wau State government to strengthen security for those in UN camps to return to their residents.
 
Alan Enodeu, UNMISS Humanitarian Coordinator says the safety of citizens is in the hands of the government, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
When the areas are all secure IDPs in camps will have courage to go back to their houses, he adds.
 
The coordinator suggests that the government should be sure to work harder to secure its people.
 
Enodeu says UN agencies will also look at some important needs for the people in and outside UNMISS’ camps
 
The official made the remark during his visit to Wau.
