The current security situation in the country remains fragile, says head of Join Monitoring and Evaluation Commission or JMEC.

Festus Mogae says both warring parties and other militia groups continue to violate ceasefire.

He condemns the act of violence across the country and urges the warring parties to immediately stop hostilities.

Mogae calls on all peace actors to continue allowing humanitarian aid workers to deliver food and no food items to the people in need.

JMEC chairman also updated the plenary on the positive steps underway by the IGAD revitalization forum on the peace process in South Sudan.

Mogae was addressing participants during the 21st monthly plenary on Monday in Juba.
