Rumbek University on Saturday held its first graduation of one hundred and twenty-one students from colleges of education and social studies.
Among one 121 graduates, only six are the female students, Radio Good News reports.
University Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Hawa Abdallah, says the number of female students in schools are affected by forced marriages and dropped out.
The Professor advises graduates to be job creators because all of them might not get employed in the public and private sectors.
Acting Dean of Academic Affairs, Professor Deng Akol, urges the graduates to prepare for their last semester.
Western Lakes State Acting Governor, Lois Agum Ruben, asks the students to work for peace and stability of the country.
She says the university students are the agents of change in any country.
The Acting Governor thanks Rumbek University students for their peaceful living despite challenges facing them.
The final graduation is expected to take place in February next year.
This is the second batch of students who completed at Rumbek University since its inception.
