Western Lakes State Public Health officer urges members of the public to observe personal hygiene and care for the surrounding to prevent easily killing diseases.
Makur Ater Akony advises the public to have latrines in their houses and dig water channels that can take away water to avoid germs, Radio Good News reports.
Ater urges hotel and restaurant dealers to use aprons during working hours and not to pour dirty water on streets.
He warns those weakening some eatable items in the market to have large quantity for sell.
The practice is against the law of public health, he adds.
Ater also urges churches, mosques leaders and schools administrators to have latrines in their compounds because in public places, diseases can easily occur.
The Health Official was speaking to Radio Good News on Wednesday in Rumbek.
