Displaced people in Wau at the Catholic Church in Lokoloko camp have raised their concern over the limited medical services at nights and on the weekends.
Yohana Benjamin Birka, Community Leaders’ Secretary complains that the health services are good their only challenge is no health centre for emergency. Radio Voice of Hope reports.
Displaced people forced to get services from outside the camp at night only, especially women who are in labor, he adds.
Benjamin mentions that it is hard for them when they get sick at night without getting medical assistance on the right time.
Women leader at the camp said that, women are really facing many challenges at the camp, when they get sick or at menstrual period and no health services assistance rendered.
She encourages the humanitarian agencies to provide women’s needs because they cannot afford to buy them due to economic hardships.
Youth’s representative at the camp, Arkangelo Claudio said, that youths are really in need of services because during the conflict they were the most victims and that’s why there is need to train them on life skills production.
Claudio calls on humanitarians to gives consideration to youth are in the IDPs camps to build their capacity for when the go back their homes the can generate income for their families and for them self.
