Armed youth believed to be from the neighboring Gok state on Friday undressed twelve women who were travelling from Manyangok County to Tonj town.
Community leader of the area Bol Kuocmuol Bol confirms to Radio Don Bosco that those women fell into the hands of criminals while going to sell their vegetables.
Kuocmuol advises his youth in the county not to take revenge on what has been done to Manyangok women.
He says women should be respected all the time and be provided with security.
Albino Mathok Mou, police officer in Tonj admits that the incident happened and they send out a force to the place.
Village Chief Wol Angui Nhial cites that it’s the second time for perpetrators from Gok to commit such a crime in the region.
Gok state officials were not immediately available for comment.
