South Sudanese students exempted from paying dollars in Sudan

The government Spokesperson says the two heads of South Sudan and Sudan have agreed that the South Sudanese students studying in the Sudan should not be treated as foreigners.
 
Sudanese government had earlier on ordered all foreign students, including South Sudanese to pay school fees in hard currency.
 
The agreement followed President Salva Kiir’s visit to Khartoum to hold series of meetings with his counterpart Omer Al-Bashir.
 
Michael Makuei Lueth says it has been agreed that all the South Sudanese students will pay in the local currency.
 
He describes President Kiir’s visit as turning point in the relations between the government of South Sudan and Sudan.
 
Makuei says the two Presidents promise to supervise the implementation of the corporation agreement in all aspects.
 
The government Spokesperson was speaking to journalists in Juba after the council of Ministers on Friday.
