The Pastoral Office of the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio trained youth on trauma healing, peace building, leadership and HIV/AIDS at Nzara.

Fr Diko Raphael, Pastoral Coordinator, says the main focus was to educate young people from all 22 parishes to be agents of peace, Radio Anisa reports.

The ongoing conflict affected youth and if they are not involved in the process, there will be real achievement of durable peace in the country.

Fr Raphael expects the young people to return to their parishes to train other youth on trauma healing, peace building and HIV/AIDS and good leadership.

Isaac Bitimo, one of the youth members from Li-Rangu Catholic Parish, says he has learnt a lot and the skills will make them to build peaceful South Sudan.

Rosetta Nakosa Mathew, another participant from St Mary Tombura Parish, calls on the organizers to arrange similar training regularly to young people in the Diocese.

The four-day training ended on Friday at Nzara Diocesan Palica in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio
