Four suspected criminals have been arrested for stealing people’s property at Akorogbodi residential area in Yambio town of Gbudue State.

The arrest came after the headmen of the area and community members suspected a certain group of young people who were staying in one of the houses, Radio Anisa reports.

Headmen Peter Julius Benjamin says his administration will always monitor and control every activity in the area, especially households hosting many youth.

He claims that they found very many things, including thousands of pounds and US Dollars, laptops, bullets and different people’s property where the suspects stay.

Julius says his administration formed a community policing group of youth to monitor every activity in the area.

He adds that, with the formation of the community policing, the rate of night crimes in the area has reduced.

Julius calls for empowerment so that he may be able to control his area very well.
