The Organization for Children’s Harmony or TOCH on Tuesday organized one-day awareness on peaceful co-existence at Abyei-Chok in Tonj County.
According to Radio Don Bosco, the workshop attracted 45 participants including chiefs and head of cattle camps.
Alfred Athian Wol, Program Manager of TOCH in Tonj, says the workshop was to enlighten local communities on conflict management and firearms’ control.
Athian says burning of the grass is contributing to migration of cattle from one location to other in search of pasture.
The Manager explains that the awareness includes the neighboring states of Gok and Wau.
Commissioner of Wanh-Alel County, Gordon Makuer Tiau, appreciates TOCH initiative and that it will be helpful to cattle keepers.
