Ambassador Haley came to check regime’s position, says President Advisor

The United States’ Permanent Representative to the United Nations Nikki Haley visit is to check on the government situation and position, says Presidential Advisor on Foreign Affairs.
 
Nhial Deng Nhial says Ambassador Haley and President Salva Kiir’s government on Wednesday discussed in Juba revitalization of the peace process by IGAD.
 
The meeting also touched on the permanent ceasefire and access of the humanitarian workers to the needy.
 
Ambassador Haley emphasizes that more efforts are still needed though there are some improvements in humanitarian access, Nhial reports.
 
The government is very satisfied about the engagement and it will continue on the peace process, says the Advisor.
 
The national government expects the dialogue to get full support from the United States administration, he notes.
 
The official was briefing the media in Juba after the meeting of Ambassador Haley with the government on Wednesday.
