Women Center of Saint Peter and Paul Parish in the Nuba Mountains graduated seventeen female tailors on Friday.
Women center manager, Sister Catherine Khamis, congratulates graduates and appreciates husbands for the trust they have on their wives and the institute, Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Graduates’ representative, Amira Ali, says she has benefited a lot from the training.
She appreciates their families for allowing them to attend the tailoring course.
Ms Ali remarks that they started the training from the scratch when they did not know anything.
The center had 150 women and is training not only in tailoring but in cooking, knitting and making bags.
The center also offers annual Christians family training workshop which always takes place during the eve of Christmas.
In another news development, Radio Voice of Peace station has launched a two weeks computer training workshop that started Monday in the station.
The parish established initiatives including a grinding mill to create jobs for the community launched a tailoring center in 2011.
