Citizens in Juba are questioning the government about the current economic and security situation in the country.
Speaking at the sideline of the Wold Food Day in Juba on Monday South Sudanese ask, what could be required by the citizens to resolve the current situation?
Lucia Sakin, a resident of Juba calls on the government to strengthen the local currency, bring peace and protect people in the country.
She says the South Sudanese Pounds has lost its value and her children are suffering because she cannot put food on the table and they are not even going to school due to the situation.
She urges the government to support women because they are hungry, their husbands are killed and children have decided to go in the street to earn their living.
Laila Yusif encourages South Sudanese to cultivate to move the country forward. But she complains of insecurity in their area and cattle are destroying their crops.
Yusif calls on the government to improve the security situation for farmers by deploying security personnel in the grassroots so that they cultivate freely.
George Maxwell is a student from Big Ben Secondary School. He says their school has a farm for students. He encourages other schools to have farm and cultivate to fight hunger.
Onyoti Adigo, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security admits that the challenging facing the country. He reiterates the commitment of the government to bring peace soon.
