The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei has on Friday says, the national peace dialogue should take place only after the implementation of the 2015 peace agreement.

Erkolano Lodu Tombe observes that if the peace agreement is not implemented, conflicts will continue in the young country which makes it impossible for the dialogue to be conducted. Radio Easter reports.

Bishop Lodu adds that there are those who support the dialogue but others also opposing the process.

Bishop Tombe reiterates their commitment as religious leaders to remain with the people until peace comes.

‘The religious leaders will only go away from Yei only if there are no more people in the area’ He adds.

The bishop made the statement while meeting the sub-committee of the national dialogue on Friday in Yei.
