A committee from South Sudan Council of Churches or SSCC in Wau State is registering the houses of IDPs destroyed during war since 2016.
SSCC Chairperson of Pentecostal Church, Bishop John Fabiano says the IDPs are registered so that the victims are compensated to return to their houses, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
He says they will focus on repairing the roofs, windows and doors of houses which have been broken or destroyed.
Bishop Fabiano explains that it is one of the plans of the Council towards peace and facilitates the return of IDPs to their homes.
He says the registration is ongoing in different residential areas within Wau town.
Bishop Fabiano says the committee is expected to meet this month to present their final reports to the council.
He stresses that the church would like to see people living in peace and stability in the country.
