The Imotong state Minister of Education is urging teachers in the state to commit themselves in teaching as a profession and to benefit from the 40 dollar incentive recently introduced by the European Union.
Hassan Urbano says 40 dollars teacher’s incentive programe is meant for functioning schools in the state. Emmanuel Radio reports.
He calls on teachers to submit their daily teaching plan to the state ministry for verification so as to qualify them to get the money.
Urbano reveals that some parts of Imotong state have started receiving 40 dollar incentives for the past two months because they have followed the rules.
He directs teachers to open their Banks Accounts so as to received incentives on monthly bases.
While the project coordinator for County Education Center Ociti Charles Odida calls for transparency and accountability in all education financial institution.
The speakers made the remarks during a three days training of primary school teachers at Akio Memorial Secondary Schools.
