The Government of Yei River State has on Tuesday announced 396.2 million South Sudanese pounds budget for the year 2017/2018.
Lokoroto Daniel Arama, head of Finance and Economic Development of Yei River State Legislative Assembly says the budget is intended to cater for priority areas of the government in the state. Easter Radio reports.
Daniel adds that the budget will also be used in implementation of the grass root peace agreement, insure maintenance of security and provide services to the citizens.
He says to implement the budget, it needs collective responsibility from both citizens and government to realise its projections at the end of the year.
It’s the first time Yei River State announced its budget since the creation of the state.
