Japan pledges to continue supporting development in South Sudan

The outgoing Japanese Ambassador to South Sudan says his country will continue supporting developmental activities in South Sudan.
 
Kiya Masahiko urges South Sudanese to embrace peace in order to attract more donor countries to do development in the country. Bakhita Radio reports.
 
He says his successor will continue from where he left.
 
Masahiko says he has been replicating Japanese government approach to development in this country. He adds that he would like to see a developed South Sudan.
 
Japanese government has had a number of projects running under ambassador Masahiko since he assumed office in April 2015.
 
Some of the ongoing and pending projects include JICA water project in Aweil recovery and development project extended to Gbudue and Jubek states.
