National Ministry of health in collaboration with United Nation family population or UNFPA has conducted sensitizing workshop to members and government officials in Wau State
Dr Dimiti Alexander from the UNFPA said that the objective of the workshop is to gives awareness to law makers and executive body to know the benefit of the family spacing to their families and community. Radio Voice of Hope reports.
He added that a happy family life is about proper child spacing.
Alexander mention that if the people follow the family spacing the death rate of women and children will reduced in the communities
Wau state Minister of Health, Rugyia Madut Abdallah said that family planning does not means women are prevented to get pregnant but to use family spacing methods.
She added that it is very important for families to follow proper family planning methods so as to allow mothers rebuild their strengths.
Wau state deputy Governor Dominic Emilio Bafuka agreed that family spacing is important because it helps in controlling the family’s income as well. He urged County commissioners to disseminate the information to all families in rural areas.
