The people of the Sudan and South Sudan need to resolve all problems through dialogue and respect one another, says Secretary-General of the Association for Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa or AMECEA.

Fr Ferdinand Lugonzo calls on the political leaders in the two countries to embrace the spirit of reconciliation with sincerity because revenge cannot resolve the conflicts.

He urges Sudan and South Sudanese politicians to follow the process of discussion to alleviate the citizens from suffering.

The Secretary-General was speaking to CRN in Juba in the sideline of the two-day meeting of the Secretaries of AMECEA region.

The Secretaries were preparing for the 19th plenary in July 2018 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Their discussion was on how members of AMECEA can organize the synod for youth on how the Church in Africa can celebrate it to promote faith and vocation.
