Commissioner of Kuarjena County asks the military commander in Mapel to release three youth they detained since May 2017 and take them to court for trial.
Barjwak Acho told Radio Voice of Hope that ‘this is a violation of human rights’ because the young people were detained without a case open against them.
He mentions that the detainees were accused of involvement in fighting, but the accuser did not appear for the case to continue.
The commissioner says the military commander responded that they are making legal procedures against the civilian youth.
Acho says he rejects the idea and demands that the case should be handled by civil court since it is the crime of murder.
He adds that the case should follow criminal procedures until the police catches the suspects by warrant of arrest from the prosecutor.
Radio Voice of Hope could not reach the military commander in Mapel for comments.
