Bishop urges Secretaries to strongly keep unity of AMECEA

Keep the unity of the region strongly and coordinate the work to move people ahead, Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba, tells Secretaries of the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa or AMECEA.
 
Bishop Santo Loku Pio while representing the President of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference in Juba encourages the secretaries to continue serving the flock of God in AMECEA region. CRN reports.
 
He prays that the Lord strengthens the officials of AMECEA region
 
The Auxiliary Bishop earlier welcomed the Secretaries on behalf of Bishops of South Sudan and Sudan and their Christians community.
 
He says the country is still fragile and precarious shown by suffering of innocent people in the two countries.
 
The Secretary-General of AMECEA Fr Ferdinand Lugonzo expresses that the region and the office will continue to pray for peace in South Sudan and Sudan.
 
He prays that the church continue to lead with peace initiatives to realize harmony in the two nations and the whole region.
 
Fr Lugonzo reveals that AMECEA is discussing modalities on how Cardinals who are patrons of the region can intervene to bring unity of the church in the two countries
 
The Bishop and the Secretary-General spoke on Wednesday during the opening of AMECEA Secretaries meeting in Juba.
