Tonj State Minister of Gender and Social Development on Sunday toured churches to encourage communities embark on peace and evangelization.
Mabil Ater Deng says the purpose of visiting different churches was to talk to people about peace in the area, Radio Don Bosco reports.
The second purpose is close the gap between the church and Tonj government authorities, he adds.
Ater asks Christians and Muslims to pray and be partners for lasting peace in the country.
The minister vows to visit all churches in Tonj and Mosques to share messages of peace with the state citizens.
The Minister appeals to the public to avoid ignoring prayers because all are worshiping the same God.
