Staff of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese on Wednesday and Catholic Organization for Development and Peace cleaned St Mary Parish, Radio Anisa reports.
Diocesan Human Resource Manager Joseph Ziazia says the cleaning is a preparation for the celebration of the anniversary of the late Bishop Joseph Gasi on September 13.
Charity begins at home and the cleaning shows that they own the parish, he adds.
Ziazia encourages other Christians to own their parishes, centers and chapels by doing any work that can support them.
Chairperson of the parish pastoral committee Angelo Atoroba appreciates the management of the diocese for carrying general cleaning at St Mary Parish for the first time.
He prays for love and cooperation to continue between diocesan administration and the parishioners.
Tombura-Yambio administration has been cleaning the diocese every first Friday of the month.
This year they decided to extent the exercise to other institutions including government ones.
