The minister of Education in Gbudue State announces 2016 / 2017 secondary school national exams on Tuesday.
Pia Philip Michael declared that 476 candidates sat for national exams while 466 passed with science section leading in Gbudue State, Radio Anisa reports.
The candidate scored 99 percent this year compared to 98 percent in 2016 academic year, he explains.
Gbudue become the second state with highest passing marks in South Sudan.
He appreciates teachers and students for the good work done, telling them to continue with the academic performance.
Stephen Mande Alison Yoere from King’s College in Science Section led the top ten candidates scoring 84.88 percent.
From the second to the fifth positions were taken by students from Bishop Abangite College in Yambio.
Among the best ten girls nine were from Bishop Abangite’s College with Amugi Alice Juma Richard on the top.
