South Sudan Federation Transport Union Chairperson is appealing to the national government to increase the import of fuel to the country so that drivers get enough diesel and petrol to ease transportation of people and goods.
Jacob Lueth Achol complains that the sixty litres of fuel given to drivers per week at the station are not enough.
He calls on the government to give twice a week and allocate fuel stations for cars travelling to the states.
The chairperson urges the government to speed up the issue of refinery in the country to address the situation.
He believes owning a refinery can improve lives of South Sudanese.
Michael Lodu Allah-Jabu, Chairperson of Juba City Council, says some drivers empty their cars and sell the fuel in black markets.
He expresses commitment to see that the drivers follow City Council regulations.
Some citizens CRN spoke to refused to comment on the transport issue because they claimed that even if they do, the government will not respond to their needs.
