UNDP trains community members on peace building in Yambio

United Nation for Development Program or UNDP trained traditional leaders, women and youth for three weeks on conflict management and peace building in Yambio of Gbudue State.
 
Sarah Acuerah, UNDP representative, says the aim of the training was to give knowledge to community leaders and women, Radio Anisa reports.
 
She urges women to work and realize unity in order to reduce conflict in the society.
 
Acuerah promised to conduct similar trainings in Yambio to empower women on peace building among communities.
 
Abel Dominic, Executive Director of civil society organizations in Gbudue State, says the workshop focused on democratic governance and capacity building.
 
Other topics included skills management, evaluation plan so that women know accountability and transparency.
