Tonj Municipal Council on Tuesday met with butchers to fix prices of meat in the two local markets of the town.
Valentino Machar Ater says the butchers are selling meat to local people according to what they want.
He adds that in the last few months the government gave chance to traders because there were few commodities.
Machar adds that one bottle of milk was reduced from 80 to 20 South Sudanese Pounds.
Meat seller, John Adak Reith, blames the state government for reducing the prices of local commodities and left those imported remain the same.
He discloses that two butchers were put in prison two months ago and were fined twenty-two thousand South Sudanese Pounds.
The two leaders made the remarks on Tuesday in Tonj.
