The Catholic Bishops of Association of Member Episcopal Conference of Eastern Africa or AMECEA deeply appreciate religious Sisters for hard work within the region despite the fact that most of their jobs go unnoticed and undocumented.

In a solidarity message, AMECEA Chairman, Cardinal Berhaneyesus D Souraphiel acknowledges and recognizes the contribution of Sisters in the formation and education of children and youth, AMECEA online reported.

He says Sisters also alleviate the pain and suffering of many people especially in the most rural areas by promoting the Gospel values in touching the lives of many.

‘Dear Sisters, we as your shepherds appreciate very much your constant prayers which you offer for the Church’, read part of the message.

Cardinal Souraphiel notes that Sisters carry on with the mission of witnessing to Jesus Christ the importance of solidarity and the need for deeper evangelization is very critical.

He calls on religious men and women together to take the lead in living the true solidarity.
