Rumbek Catholic women pray for lasting peace in South Sudan

St Monica Women Association in the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Friday started their prayers for lasting peace in the families and the country as whole
 
Catholic Women Group leader Sister Mary Mumu Pora invited women from all parishes and prayed from Friday evening through the night until Saturday morning Radio Good News reports.
 
The Nun says praying at night is okay with them because there are no disturbances.
 
Sister Mumu believes that, prayers are vital in human life and they ask God for total harmony in families, communities and the nation.
 
The Group leader encourages all the women and all people concerned for peace to join them in praying for peace and reconciliation. 
 
She says many evils things have surrounded the country and can be combated through prayers.
 
The prayers involved rosary procession and will end with Eucharistic celebration on Saturday evening.
