Unless South Sudanese accept change, peace will not prevail in the country, priest tells Christians.
Father John Opi, Peace and Justice Coordinator in the Catholic Diocese of Torit, urges Christians to accept their mistakes to realize peace in South Sudan, Radio Emmanuel reports.
He observes that the country is in critical moment because of failure to admit the bad deeds committed.
Father Opi says sins that the citizens in the country committed have caused division and displacement of people in South Sudan.
The Coordinator warns Christians against doing evil things, but follow Jesus Christ.
He discloses that many citizens in the country do not accept the truth.
Fr Opi advises Christians to join the church to change the suffering that the country is undergoing.
He tells the believers to trust God, accept Jesus Christ in their hearts and obey God’s Ten Commandments.
Opi in his prayers ask God to give people of South Sudan true faith to enable them forget the spirit of division.
The Coordinator calls on Christians to focus on reaching God’s Kingdom than entering Hell.
The Coordinator for Peace and Justice in the Catholic Diocese of Torit was preaching at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit.
