Advisor warns traders against rejecting one pound note

Anthony Charles Ngberende says refusing the circulating notes is a crime against the country, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
He directs security organs and police to monitor the traders who are rejecting one pound denomination and arrest them to face justice.
 
Ngberende says rejecting the local currency means insulting South Sudan sovereignty.
 
The Security Advisor directs Wau Mayor to issue local order with punishments to those who will not accept the money.
 
Since the beginning of civil war in 2013 South Sudan economy deteriorated and the pound weakened against dollars.
 
One hundred dollar currently buys 16.5 thousand South Sudanese Pounds up to now.
