Mercy South Sudan, a local organization on Monday held a one-day consultative forum for forty-five primary teachers on peace building and reconciliation in Juba.
The forum also discussed participation in making harmony and managing conflict through education and how to include teachers in peace building and reconciliation.
The meeting also discussed challenges facing schools such as infrastructures and the delay of salaries.
MERCY South Sudan Programs Manager, Nunu Diana Alison, told Radio Bakhita that including teachers in peace building and reconciliation process is essential.
One of the participants, Bullen Kenyi Yatta, says such training is important because communities were divided on ethnic line even school children.
He explains that they are ready to impart the knowledge into pupils at their respective schools.
The next meeting is expected to bring teachers and education officials to address some challenges facing instructors in the country.
