Wau State Security Advisor revealed that one person was killed and number of citizens ran away from Khor Malang and Ngolinkpo areas over the weekend.

Anthony Charles Ngberende confirms that the incident happened on Friday morning at 4:00 AM when the civilians were going to Mboro, Radio Voice of Hope reports.

The Advisor condemns and describes the act as barbaric because it affects free movement of civilians.

He advises the civilians in villages to avoid moving at night and use the main roads in order to reach their areas safely.

Advisor Ngberende urges those carrying guns to respect the amnesty and the national dialogue President Salva Kiir announced earlier.

Khor Malang and Ngolinkpo are the areas about killing and looting of citizens’ properties have been reported when they come to the town or go to their villages.

Earlier this month one woman among 83 people coming to the town was killed when they fell into ambush between Wau Municipality and Besselia County.
