At least 82 aid workers lost their lives while delivering services to people since December 2013, says Reverend Laxson Awad Maku, representative of national NGOs.
 
He points out that the death of aid workers shall never be in vain.
 
South Sudan in its second year is considered the most dangerous country to aid workers and civilians through violence, says Deepmala Mahla Representative of the International NGOs.
 
The officials were speaking on Friday during World Humanitarian Day celebration under the theme: ‘Civilians and aid workers are not a target’.
