A community peace dialogue between Aliap Toch and Rup Sections of Amongpiny County started in Rumbek on Saturday.
One hundred and fifty local chiefs, youth, women and government officials attend the dialogue, Radio Good News reports.
Central Peace Committee Chairperson, Chol Kuotwel Manhom describes the dialogue that targets Athuoi and Panyon groups as very constructive.
Manhom reveals that the two communities agreed to stop roads attack, revenge killing and allow freedom of movement among themselves.
Communal conflicts have been difficult to resolve in the state because some communities fight one another, he adds.
Do not treat individual crimes as communal, Isaac Majier Majok, Community Empowerment for Progress Organizations or CEPO State Coordinator advises communities.
Samuel Taban Mayom, Commissioner of Western Bahr Naam County, urges communities to stop communal fights and work for development.
He says investors cannot spend money in places where there are violent conflicts.
The peace dialogue was facilitated by CEPO with support from Safer World.
