Stealing of groundnuts rampant in Tonj, reveals police director

Many of the cases reaching police station are the stealing of groundnuts from the gardens, says Director of Police Criminal Investigation Department or CID.
 
Captain Makuer Ramadan urges members of communities not to kills thieves they find in gardens, but report to the police for the law to work, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
He attributes increase of theft to the ongoing of economic and hunger crises in South Sudan.
 
Captain Ramadan advises citizens to take care of their property to reduce the high rate of theft.
 
The population should also cooperate with the government to overcome the challenges, he adds.
 
The director was talking to Radio Don Bosco on Monday in Tonj.
