Deng Nhial Memorial High School on Monday introduced Bible quiz to educate people on peace and unity, says chairman of the Bible Affairs.Tango Tong Wol says the questions are to change lives of learners to give the same word of God to their communities, Radio Don Bosco reports.He adds that they realized bad things happening in communities which affect peaceful coexistence and unity among their people.Tong discloses that the Bible sharing at the school started with a small number of students and it has grown and he expects it expand further.Tong mentions that if people leave all bad things like tribalism and follow the word of God, South Sudan will achieve peace.He encourages all students of other schools in Tonj State to have similar activities.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal. CRN has also a station in the Nuba Mountains. All the stations share the same vision and mission, and are bound by common editorial and administrative policies. All stations broadcast shared programs in English: news, civic education, and other educational programs. Due to the heterogeneous realities of South Sudan, each station is rooted in its locality and broadcasts locally produced culture-sensitive programs in the languages which are understood by the local people. For its outreach, CRN has a potential audience of about seven million people, considering the influx of returnees to South Sudan after the Sudan Population Census 2008.
