Collaberazione Commitato Medica or CCM in collaboration with Tonj county Health Department trained twenty participants on infants and pregnant mothers’ management.
Facilitator Titus Minda says the training is to empower nurses, midwives and traditional birth attendance how to manage new born children and pregnant mothers, Radio Don Bosco report.
The training is focusing on prevention of maternal death by basic teaching them how to follow mothers before and after giving birth, Dr Minda explains.
He adds that CCM international organized the training to support all health facilities in the former Warrap state and South Sudan.
The facilitator says the five-day training is to strengthen capacities of the health workers to do their duties effectively..
Dr Minda appeals to the public to encourage pregnant mothers to keep on visiting health facilities.
