Maridi Service Agency Association’s Executive Director urges all people living with HIV/AIDS to avoid spreading the disease further.

Radio Anisa quoted Wedallah Peter advising HIV/AIDS patients to protect themselves to live longer.

He warns youth against misunderstanding that HIV/AIDS virus is becoming weaker.

The statement is wrong, HIV is real and everyone must go for voluntary test to protect him or herself from infection, the director clarifies.

Peter cites conflict in South Sudan as one of the challenges hindering awareness to the communities in Maridi.

He discloses that in a month they get around 70 new people HIV positive because of lack of awareness about voluntary counseling and testing.

The executive director was speaking to Radio Anisa in a telephone from Maridi State on Monday.
