Imotong government donates food to Torit Hospital

Imotong government on Friday donated 120 cartons of food items to Torit Hospital Nutrition Department to help malnourished children in the state.
 
Acting Minister of Health, Jacob Atari Albano, says the food was donated earlier by the Egyptian government to South Sudan, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
The food will help children with acute malnutrition to recover to their normal health, he adds.
 
Atari who is the State Minister of Information, explains that the food packed in cartons includes Egyptian nut, rice, chicken soup, mango juice among others.
 
Director-General Ministry of Health Augustine Okwahi applauds the support given to malnourish children.
 
He appreciates Egyptian government for standing in solidarity with South Sudan.
 
Dr Okwahi says people should put more effort to support children for better future.
 
Carmela Ikuya, a mother who have receive the food aid, says she came to the hospital when her child was acutely malnourished, but now is happy that her kid is becoming normal.
 
Ikuya acknowledges that lack of balance diet causes sicknesses among children.
 
She advises fellow mothers to feed their children with varieties of food to stop malnutrition.
