National director for Peace and Conflict Mitigation finally laid to rest

The body of the Director-General for National Peace and Conflict Mitigation has finally been laid to rest at his home town in Torit last Tuesday.
 
Tobias Atari Okori died in Kampala Uganda after battling liver disease for long time, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
Hundred mourners including government officials, religious leaders, school children and the faithful received the body of the late at Torit airstrip and later accompanied to St Peter and Paul Cathedral for requiem mass.
 
The Parish Priest of the Cathedral Jackino Lomogo consoles Christians to view death as a beginning of a new life.
 
He says death is a trend that every mankind follows.
 
Betty Oboi Itorong, a member of National Peace Commission, describes the death of Tobias Atari Okori as a great lost to their office.
 
She says the absence of the late will create a big gap that cannot be filled within a shortest time.
 
The official advises the family of the late to put God first in their prayers.
 
The speakers made the remarks during the requiem mass of the late Tobias Atari Okori at St Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit.
